Roles – VMware Implementation Experts / AVS Operations and Migration Experts
Location – anywhere from Germany
Job type: B2B Freelancing Or Permanent or contractual
work mode: Remote.
Scope of Work:
experts needed in one or all of the below position:
Implementation of VMware-based cloud infrastructures:
Identification of requirements, conception, specification, implementation, and configuration of VMware-based cloud solutions.
Consulting on questions and optimizations of VMware licenses.
Implementation of services on VMware platforms:
Responsibilities include the implementation of services on VMware platforms such as the determination of requirements, conception, specification, implementation, and configuration of cloud-based services such as DNS, PKI.
Also, the identification of requirements for automation solutions such as IaaC, automated testing, etc.
Operation of AVS environments and migration of clients to AVS environments:
This role will provide operational support of AVS environments. Support for the migration of clients to VMware-based cloud platforms will also be necessary, including the identification, evaluation, and consultation on architecture features.
Coordination with clients regarding necessary activities for migration to cloud platforms is also required, which includes identifying and evaluating architecture features for cloud operation in IaaS and CaaS modes based on the VMware platform and IT governance.
Above roles can also include tasks like:
Training and instruction on implemented cloud structures and services.
Creation of training materials and instruction documentation.
Conducting training and instruction sessions.
The following knowledge and experience are required for service delivery:
Experience in consulting and developing cloud platform solutions using VMware VCF, vCenter, vSAN, vSphere, NSX-T, vRA, vRO, vR Log Insight, vR Network Insight, TANZU, NSX ALB, and related third-party or open-source products for providing basic services (DNS, PKI, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of the VMware license model.
Administration of Azure AVS, VMware vSphere, NSX-T, vRA, Tanzu.
Creation of infrastructure as code.
Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines for GitLab and/or vRA.
Experience with GitOps.
Implementation of governance requirements in VMware products.
Consulting of VMware users for service implementation while considering applicable governance.
Development of service catalog blueprints (cloud template).
